Cutting fabric to get a head start on Christmas gifts, my finger was cut by those wonderful sharp cutting tool. It's the tool you love to hate. My finger is healing nicely and I can finally type again.
I went back and looked at that picture. Get yourself a plastic edged ruler that fits over the edge of the mat that is at least 6" wide!! Don't use that wooden ruler!!!!!

Got a plastic one from Mom. Haven't used it yet, but I am sure it will work better.
